Joey was born on 20th December 1972 as the 8th kelly child born.
He didn't become interested in music until her was 12 years old but slowly he began to learn guitar, which is his favourite instrument. On the DVD 'cover the road' he tells that he finds it more difficult to write music than the others in the band, and also hard to play instruments.
Joey married Tanja Riveting on 20th December 2004. He is a proud father of three, Luke Christopher (29.06.2000) Leon Daniel (20.21.04) and Lilian Ann (07.07.2006)
Joey still plays with his siblings on stage, though he also spends a lot of his time doing sports. A few years ago Joey discovered his love for sports - extreme sports. He has taken part in countless marathons, races and ironmans, over mountains, through deserts and ice deserts.
