She can play guitar, piano, and accordian, though he favourite instrument is the congas. She was the first Kelly kid to write their own song. She wrote 'Papa cool' at 12 years old, and her siblings soon copied her.
Barby also loves to paint and draw. Many of pictures can be found in fan collections and autograph books, and some of her water color paintings were available as prints on concerts.
As sweet and lovable as Barby is, she's also known to be introverted and a bit fragile. The huge success of the family with all its consequences were very difficult for her to cope with, so she slowly retreated until she finally left the band to take care of herself and her health. It is said that she has to have a nurse with her at all times.
